I'm a little interested in this new feed Fibre Gold - www.fibrefeeds.com - looks like a new all singing, all dancing complete feed. Does anyone on here use it? I was so interested that I emailed them to ask what the recommended feeding rate was for a 500kg horse - and the answer was 2kg of the feed a day So assuming that they come in 20kg bags, a bag would last me 10 days :faint: Anyone heard of it/seen it/use it??

Never heard of it, but looking at the website it looks like good stuff. Do you know how much a bag would cost?
Normally, over the winter, I'd feed a mixture of chaff, some sort of mix, speedibeet and a multivit supplement. If you had all that in one bag you'd have to buy more bags to keep you going but might cost less then getting one each of everything.
Would be interested in how much it cost though.

Meg and me went and met with Lou and John at TMS when they launched it and sold it for a while from Meg and Tony's nursery. It is a lovely feed on par with Equilibrium but it is pricey and at the time they wanted us to have huge quantities; as a then unknown brand it was too much of a risk for us so we bailed out! It is a good feed though so worth trying and I know Kelly is thinking now of endorsing it as they have been involved with TMS; if then Monty Roberts starts using it; it could really take off! I really like Simple Systems still plus like Jenna like to have my variations for all of them!

Yeah that's part of my problem - all of mine have different nutritional requirements and I'd have problems with a 'one feed fits all' type thing.

Oooh that's interesting Laura! I was interested until I got the reccy'd amount - 2kg is a huge amount to feed compared to the 250g of balancer Ebby gets atm! And she looks pretty darn good on it, so if it ain't broke don't fix it! I had a very interesting 'discussion' with the Winergy people at Badminton (I think they were glad to get rid of me) - and I still don't understand how their feed works...

Now see, £1.50 per day on feed seems a hell of a lot to me -- I buy a bag of feed for around £30, and it lasts me 3 months - £10 a month, so 35p a day? And that's with all the vits and mins she could ever want.
I still don't understand these complete feeds. The feed companies can't give me a straight answer either, so I will keep on wondering!

Top Spec comp or anti-lam, depending on the time of year.
